Hi Everybody -
WSo where did the summer go? I know all of you have been VERY busy - both with and without dogs. Reports have been coming in and I am pleased that they all have been GOOD !1

Petoskey Agility Trial held August 22nd
WOW! What a great response from the community and 4-H ! It was definitely larger than what Agnes & Shirley expected. But I was very proud of all the students that attended and ran their dogs. They did well and they took home lots of ribbons. It was a great experience for first time dogs, too. Agnes & Shirley made it a fun day for all ! THANKS go out to Agnes & Shirley for a great event ! See you next year !

Teacup Agility Trial, Sept 8 & 9
We will be hosting our 3rd teacup trial for this year. Shirley Burns will be the judge for the weekend. You can still get signed up with your teacup dog to have some fun at the trial. The premium can be found on our website www.pinemeadowsfarm.com

GT Kennel Club Agility trial, Sept 28, 29 & 30
I know some of you are getting ready for the Grand Traverse Kennel Club agility trial coming up September 28, 29 & 30 - a 3-day show this year right in our own backyard. Friday is for Excellent level dogs only, but would be fun to watch these dogs manuever around the course at great speeds. It would also be a great opportunity to help the club out and volunteer to do one of the many important jobs necessary to make an agility trial successful and fun. If you can volunteer some time and are not running a dog at the trials, contact Coleene Davidson beekeeper@tm.net or Barbara Peters 231-943-8967 dogpatch@charter.net Otherwise, be sure to fill out the worker sign up sheet found in the premium. Entries close on Sept. 14th at 12:00 PM.

2 Standard Poodles
We have too many dogs in a confined area so we have decided to sell Koby. Koby is a fertile, white standard poodle. Koby was born on May 01, 2005 His registered AKC name is: Kirtlands Koby Knight of White.

He has a very nice disposition, very friendly and loves to go for rides in the car. Also, the minute you get out of the car, he lays down until you return. Asking price for Koby is $600.00 but we will consider all offers. Koby is the father of one litter of pups and we had so many requests from the pup owners and friends that we actually collected several deposits for the next litter. Cyndee said she did not want to tend to any more litters and we are not set up to have them at this place. Koby is still fertile if you wanted to use him for stud service.

We may also sell Kia if we can find the right home for her. She is a female Apricot standard poodle and is on the large size. As I recall, she stands 27" or 28" tall at the withers. She has a very sweet disposition and also loves to ride. She will curl up on the front seat and rides very quietly. She is spayed and was born 12-05-2001. Her AKC registered name is Kirtland’s Kissing Kia Marie. Kia was pricey when we bought her but we have reduced the price to $600.00 since she is 5 1/2 years old. Kia has never had a litter of pups and has been fixed.

Neither of the dogs have ever destroyed anything as some dogs chew as puppies. Neither one of the dogs has any medical issues that we are aware of and both have always been healthy. Koby is the type that would go home with anyone and be perfectly content. Kia has always been my dog and keeps me in sight at all times so she will need a home with someone that is kind to her and gives her attention.

How can we sell them: That is very difficult because it is equal to selling off one of your kids and how do you decide which kid to part with. It is hard and we have tossed the idea around for awhile and come to the conclusion that we need to lighten up the load.

The reason we are selling them is because after getting all the horses that take up my time, and having all the dogs in the house, we have to cut back. When you have six dogs no one wants to take that many and the last couple of gals weren't real thrilled about coming here to watch that many, so it keeps us confined to a time table to be home. We leave them for 8 hours, but in my opinion, it isn't fair to the dog beyond that. Plus my daughter's car was stolen so I feel obligated to help her with a few dollars to purchase another used beater so she can get to school.

I know you may not be personally interested, but if you know or hear of anyone that may be interested, please refer them to us. I think we sold as many pups by word of mouth as we did advertising when we had our past litters. You can email us. We have had the same email address of KCPoodle@aol.com or mine for years. You can also call our cell at 616-250-1688.

That's it for now!
