Hi Everybody -
WOW! Summer is flying by fast - it's August already! We had a busy July here at the training center. We held the Canine Good Citizen certification here, and Mary Belanger, tester, certified all 8 dogs. Thank you to all, and thank you to Mary Belanger for doing a great job !

We had our Fun Day for Teacup Dogs here in July, and what a hoot ! We played fun games, had great prizes, potluck lunch, and made new friends ! Thanks to Billie Cooper for making the day so much fun !

We hosted our first actual Teacup Agility trials here with our very own judges Mary Belanger & Coleene Davidson. They both did a fantastic job of judging, and their courses were fun and so were the games ! Our hats off to them for a very rewarding weekend. And MANY THANKS to all of you who volunteered that weekend and helped out. We couldn't do it without our volunteers. Many went home with ribbons and new titles.

Lots of dogs needing homes........

Lab/boxer mix puppy - 8 weeks old, female - Parvo survivor. Contact Dana Navidonski DVM danavido@charter.net

A
14 month old neutered border collie named “Jack” needs a home. Very good agility prospect, is up on all shots, heartworm, vet checked etc. People can’t keep due to illness. He is fostered out to one of our local vets because she says he is a great dog-especially thinking good for agility. He’s good enough she wanted to try to place him. Is well mannered, a little on the shy side so is calmer than some 14 month old pups. She needs to place him asap as she already has 4 dogs and other critters. A friend of mine, Jo Suminski, has a friend who has a
two year old, chocolate male Lab, in tact, and because he is moving, he wants to find a good home for this young dog. The man's name is Bob Cole, and he is a retired dentist in Lansing. He purchased the pup from Anderhoss Kennels in Lansing for $800. The parents both were OFAed, but I don't know the results. I do not know anything about Anderhoss Kennels, but he says the breeder, Nancy Anderson, from who he bought the dog is a professional handler. He would like to give the dog to someone who would provide a good home. There would be no purchase price. He says he contacted the breeder about his move, and she is ill right now and gave him permission to place the dog with whomever he thought would be OK. If you know of anyone interested, please contact my friend, Jo Suminski. Her email address is: thedivot315@charter.net

A beagle is looking for a home. Well, maybe looking for someone's couch. This is a calm beagle, likes to lie around - don't know if it has ever hunted. Looks to be 2 years old, has a scar on its belly so vet thinks it has been spayed. If interested. contact Coleene Davidson beekeeper@tm.net

That's it for now!
