Welcome to Pine Meadows Farm!
Hi Everybody !

A QUICK update on a few items that are happening here -

Dan Edwards with P>E>A>K Fitness Will Be Here
Tuesday, June 8th  -  6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Have you ever wanted your own personal trainer?  Have you ever wanted to lose weight in specific areas and/or wanted to know what to eat to have more energy throughout the day?  No time to exercise or HATE exercise?  No time to go to the gym?  Well here is your chance to find the answers !

For the next 3 months, Dan Edwards B.S., C.P.T. will be coming to the training center for 1 evening a month, June, July, August, to help you keep your body physically and your mind mentally, in shape. That's right - he is coming to us!

We have learned the importance of keeping our dog in shape, now it's your turn to look after the "Human" half of the team.  Each seminar will contain NEW and EXCITING  information designed to get you fit and have fun doing it.  Your dog is counting on you to stay healthy......

The dates are Tuesday  June 8th, Wednesday, July 14th, and Thursday, August 19th. Each seminar is from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.   You do not have to sign up for all 3 seminars. You can pick & choose which dates work for you.  HOWEVER, there is a nice discount if you sign up for all 3 at the beginning. Price is also reduced depending how many participate that night. Price range is from $60 - $75 per person per session, depending on how many are here. I am offering a "special gift" to the first 12 paid participants that show up at EACH seminar!  Family members & friends can also get in on the discounted prices.  No prior experience necessary, but you should tell us about any limitations or what you cannot do at time of registration.

Remember, your dog is counting on you to stay healthy ... take the time to take care of yourself !!!

Dog Carting is Returning for the Summer
The Cruisin' Canines had a great time at the 2010 Alden Memorial Day Parade. Russ Cole looked handsome in his original military uniform (yes, it still fits!). He was on Joy Cowles' sulky being pulled by Joy's 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs!   He was the hit of the parade !

Our next parade event will be the Fourth of July Parade in Fife Lake. Carol Saylor is in charge of that one. Special red T-shirts ($3 each) will be worn by Pine Meadows handlers - all are welcome to walk. Parade is about 2 miles in Fife Lake. You do not need a cart to walk in the parade.  Contact Carol or Jane for more details.

Joy Cowles has been "busy" fitting harnesses and building a few carts for dogs. We now have 4 or 5 new dogs to start learning drafting. We will be setting up beginners (dog or handler) and advanced classes for carting. We will be doing a demo at the Traverse City Fair on Sunday, August 8th during the draft horse show.  Contact Joy or Jane if you are interested.

We are planning to pick them up on Saturday, June 12th
