Hi Everybody -
Just a quick news update on a couple of things.....there is still half a month left, and there are several things coming up. I like to keep everybody up to date so you have more choices on things going on around here.......
Teacup Day for New Teacup Dogs
May 31st
Agnes Shaw & Shirley Burns will be the "Judges" for the day. Arrive by 9 AM to set up and sign in Facility will be open at 8 AM. Fee is $10 per dog for the whole day. Flyers are available at the training center for more info. THERE WILL BE A POTLUCK THIS DAY.
We will be offering a match for teacup dogs who have never trialed before and are interested in learning more about a trial on Saturday, May 31st. Each new person with their dog will be paired up with someone who has been doing teacup agility, and we will walk you thru how a trial works. Example: how do you enter a teacup trial, where do you find info about trials, what do you do when you get to the trial, how do you get titles on your dog, and so forth. We encourage teacup dogs and owners to attend even if you think you may not be interested in showing. You will get to run your dog on teacup agility equipment several times for fun. Dogs must have had at least one course of agility in order to participate.
UKC OBEDIENCE classes
There will be an UKC Obedience class on Thursdays, 1 PM, starting May 29th. If you are not sure what UKC Obedience is, call or email Jane to find out more information. Class will be for 6 weeks. Cost iw $60.
Rally Obedience Classes
Friday evenings - May 16, May 23rd, May 30, & June 6th - 7 P.M.
Grand Traverse Kennel Club will be offering rally obedience at their June show on Father's Day weekend. So we will be offering rally classes so that you can get your dog ready to show. Classes will be on Friday evenings - May 16, May 23rd, May 30, & June 6th. All 3 levels will have a course each week. Cost is $10 per night per dog.
Puppy Agility Class
Starting Thursday, June 5th at 7:30 PM
We will be having a puppy agility class. (dogs under 12 months old). Class limited to 10 dogs - 5 spots still available. It will be for 4 weeks for $65. Call or email the training center if interested There are 3 spots left.
Beginning Agility Classes - 2 different days
We will be having beginning agility classes (dogs over 12 months old) One class starts Friday, May 23rd at 11:15 AM. The other class will start Thursday, July 10th at 7:30 PM. Course will be for 5 weeks at $65. If interested, call or email the training center.
UKC Agility classes
The Thursday afternoon UKC agility class has been canceled after May 15th.. On Fridays starting May 23 at 10 AM will be Intermediate UKC classes. Dogs do not have to complete 1 course of UKC agility to join this class. Any questions or you are interested in a beginning UKC agility class, call or email the training center.
Beginning Obedience Class
Start MONDAY, June 9th
Beginning Obedience class will be offered on Monday, June 9th at 7:30 PM for 6 weeks for $75. Class size is limited, so if you are interested, please let us know right away. Registration form is on the website www.pinemeadowsfarm.com (just cross out the "agility" word and right in "obedience") and your check for $75 will hold your spot in the class.

Dog looking for a good home

Hi Everybody -
Is spring here? April showers bring May flowers.......anyway, time is marching on! Can't believe we are getting into show season. Many are telling me their triumphs from their specialties, nationals, and results from various venues within Michigan. Keep the reports coming!
We were able to attend a herding workshop right near here this past weekend. Several Sheltie owners went, along with a cattle dog, and several border collies and bernese mountain dogs. We actually got to try it - and found most of the time our dogs knew more than we did (No big surprise!) Anyway, I think you will be hearing more about herding in northern Michigan.
"Canine Contacts" 2008 Dog Expo
June 28th, Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM
The event will be at the same location as last year - The Kaliseum in Kalkaska. We are forming committees and could use your help. Here are the various areas:
