CLASS SCHEDULE
MONDAY
6:30 PM - Intermediate & Advanced Agility - ongoing - have a few spots left
7:30 PM - Advanced Beginners Agility (Class #2 on plaque) - starts July 31st - 5 wks-$65

TUESDAY
4 PM - Competitive Novice Obedience - 6 wks for $60 - starts July 11th
6 PM - Intermediate & Advanced Agility - ongoing - have a few spots left
7:15 PM - Beginning Obedience - 6 wks for $75 - starts July 25th

WEDNESDAY
4 PM - Teacup Agility - class will be meeting on July 19 & 26 - August dates coming later
7 PM - Teacup Agility - Classes start July 26 - 5 wks $65 (NO CLASS AUGUST 9)

THURSDAY
2:30 PM - Open & Utility Obedience - 6 wks for $75 - next session starts July 20th
4:45 PM - Intermediate & Advanced Agility - ongoing - have 1 spot available
6 PM - Intermediate & Advanced Agility - ongoing - have 1 spot available

TEACUP AGILITY- available to dogs 17" and under at the shoulder (withers)
We had a great time here on Saturday with Becky Dean. She explained the fundamentals & techniques on strategy on different agility games. Then the dogs & handlers got to try out what they learned. The teacup trial on Sunday was a GREAT success. THANKS TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO MADE THE WEEKEND SO WONDERFUL!!

July 15th we are having a Fun Day for teacup dog here at the training center noon to 2 PM ??. This is a fun day for dogs and their handlers. Bring a dish to pass for handlers to enjoy based on the first letter of the handler's las name or dog's call name. For example, if your last name is Smith - salad, scones, shortbread, etc. If your dog's call name is Moose - macaroni salad, mini carrots, etc. This is a FUN day, a green eggs and ham day. Enjoy & have fun!.

August 26 & 27 will be our 2nd teacup trial for 2006 here at the training center. Donni Breadon will be the judge for the 2 day trial. Again 2 standard courses & 2 games are played each day. Again, we will be looking for volunteers who can help - whether for a couple of hours or for the day, let me know.

If anyone is interested in learning more about Teacup Agility, there will be a class starting on Wednesday night at 7 PM on July 26th. Class cost is $65 for 5 weeks (no class on August 9th). Check out the website www.dogagility.org This venue is for purebred and mixed breed dogs that are over 1 year old & are 17" and under at the shoulder (withers).

"DOCK DOGS" will be in Traverse City again!
The Cherry Festival is having the Dock Dogs here again on Friday, July 7th & Saturday, July 8th. Time is 10 AM - Noon both days. Also on Friday, July 7th at 4 - 7 PM. Contest will be held at the Holiday Inn on West Bay. You can enter your own dog!

AC PAW PET PHOTO CALENDAR CONTEST
Each month, from July 2006 to June, 2007, will have its own monthly theme photo contest. You decide what theme, props or settings best represent that month and put your cat or dog as the photo subject. The panel of judges will determine which photo will depict that month in the AC Paw Pet Photo Calendar to be sold for the year following the contest. Besides winning a place of honor in the calendar, each monthly winner will receive $25 cash, and be in competition whith the 11 other winners. The 1st place contestant will receive $1,000 cash !

The fee is $10 per entry; which entitles you to submit 2 photos. For more info, contact 231-587-0738
